The Location was great out of town but still within easy reach. The food was of a very good standard and the portions were large. The staff were very polite and friendly and always helpful. The room faced out onto the road but there was very little traffic so it was very quiet. It was literally a quick hop over the dunes and you were on the beach and could easily walk into the town from there.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The room was lovely, well equiped, clean and comfortable. The included breakfasts were exceptional, absolutely delicious and really set us up for each day. We also ate there for lunch and dinner and were really impressed.

Our room was lovely on arrival for 4 nights, with excellent views, but we preferred a walk-in shower, to a free-standing bath. So we asked & were able to change very easily, after 1 night. Breakfast was included & you chose what you liked from a menu. Ditto drinks- whatever you liked. The staff were always extremely friendly & helpful. We had friends staying at the nearby campsite, & found the location opposite the beach was perfect!

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful, picturesque setting. The rooms are situated above the main pub with a separate entrance so you dont need to go through the pub to access them. Ours had a veranda overlooking the rolling fens behind where the sun sets. There is a large, well organised outdoor area for eating and drinking with overhead cover should the weather become unpredictable. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with en-suite shower and toilet. We ate dinner in the pub restaurant and this was both delicious and value for money. The staff were incredible and provided a warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. My partner left a ring of very sentimental value in the room when we checked out and upon realising this, some way through our journey to our next destination we called the Sail Loft and spoke to a member of staff who not only made sure the ring was found but also posted it to our onward destination! I had offered to make payment for this service but we were never charged or invoiced (Please get in touch if you need me to reimburse for costs!). This was just the cherry on top of what was advertised relaxing, enjoyable and memorable short stay.

The bath was brilliant and views just beautiful. Croissants and biscuits were lovely as was the tea. But I’m a sucker for fresh milk with my tea.. Bed/ linen all comfy. Water was a good touch.

The location was superb. We just had to cross the road and a bank of sand dunes to get to the stunning beach. It is a 20 minute walk to the centre of Southwold and a 15 minute walk in the other direction to the harbour. We had a beautiful evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfasts were superb. Our room (4) had a great view over the salt marsh at the back.

This is a lovely property overlooking the dunes to the front and Marshland to the back. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but are in fact a few minutes walk into Southwold or a walk to the River Blythe and access to great walks and Walberswick in the other. The rooms were huge and our friends even had a terrace to sit out on and watch the sunset. The food in the pub was lovely and breakfast was included. All of the staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend staying here.

breakfast room also the dining room, not too noisy as we both have hearing issues,,,,lovely enjoyable atmosphere when we dined in the evenings, staff very friendly and couldn,t be more helpful. Food was excellent. choices good .....everything we liked it was a great idea having separate entrance for house guests. Also Car Parking ..... excellent facilities. and thanks to the young man who moved his motorbike for us to park easier.

We stayed for the weekend as an extended family for our father’s 80th birthday. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and we had a fabulous dinner, everything was really well cooked with fresh ingredients and lovely presentation. The staff were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to help us have a great visit, including reserving the private dining area for dinner and breakfast. The location is convenient for town and the harbour area and incredibly peaceful.

Great place, excellent location - very quiet but only a short walk in to town and just across the road from the lovely beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable and ours had the added bonus of a sheltered balcony where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. So glad we booked very last minute and would definitely return when the restaurant is open in the evenings.
